Heraldry - Beasts
Beasts of all kinds have been used in heraldry, but the most important of them all is the lion. Over time lions in different positions were developed so that enough variations could be used and space on the shield could be filled.
Many different kinds of animal can be used as a charge. You may choose to have one large animal or several smaller ones. Animals can be shown in many different ways and they have different meanings.
