The citizens of Acre were concerned with Moslem attacks getting nearer and after the death of Charles of Anjou required a ruler who was nearer. It was recommended to Henry II to travel to teh port. [1]
Henry II, king of Cyprus was crowned King of Jeruslaem at Tyre. He would be the last ruler before its fall in 1291. Shortly after being crowned, Henry returned to Cyprus. [1]
